Everybody talks about how beautiful Mexico is as a country, how the food is delicious and the beaches are simply perfect, but sometimes when living and working in Mexico the regular vacation places that everybody knows about seem a little bit too touristy “and not even Mexican”. Also sometimes we don’t have the time or the chance to go; thankfully Mexico offers, in all its greatness, different options for us. What are “Pueblos Mágicos”? It translates to “Magic Towns”, this towns are selected as Pueblos Mágicos by the Mexican Secretariat of Tourism and the federal goverment because of their uniqueness in symbolism, legends, history, gastronomy, cultural and natural treasures and heritage. We currently have 111 Pueblos Mágicos in the 32 mexican states, and they are meant to preserve our culture and legacy, and to show Mexicans and foreigners the real meaning of Mexico.

In San Luis Potosí we are proud to have two Pueblos Mágicos, which you can visit year round. Real de Catorce is only three and a half hours away, located in the desert known as Altiplano Potosino, and Xilitla is less tan five hours away in the middle of a tropical jungle known as the Huasteca Potosina.
